Cafe Bleu was taken over by Cobbs a few months
back. Cobbs is traditiionally baker and caterer,
but also runs small Coffee shops in the Highland
area, all modern and tasteful.
Wifi - There's free 1 hour
wifi if you buy a Coffee at Bleu, just ask
for a scratch card when ordering. The WIFI
will work with PDA's, laptops etc equipped
with a dongle or built in WIFI appliance.
Now that Bleu has been taken over, there
has been a change - not that things were bad,
quite the opposite, things are now a whole
lot better, because now theres cakes!
The shop in aviemore used to be Aviemore
Photographic, and upstairs was the studio.
There's an upstairs and downstairs downstairs
is the bar area with nice granite style counter,
tastefully designed, and of course the nice
big Italian Coffee machine. There's clean
child seats (cant remember how many dirty
child seats i've seen in places before, especially
at the larger food retailers), there's a loo
upstairs with separate ladies and mens, and
again the loos are tastefully decorated, not
the usual loos!
Upstairs is the nice quiet area, mostly because
people nowadays cant be bothered climbing
stairs, so only the restless venture up, or
those who cant find a seat downstairs.
Food is nice, if not a little expensive,
so too is the Coffee, which again is probably
the second or best in the area, but you get
what you pay for.
Staff are friendly, there isnt a high turnaround
of staff, i guess because there is no evil
boss or production line style catering here.
Definitely worth a treck, even if you're
getting pies next door, dont compromise, buy
the best!
