The Fire Fighters Charity is hosting its inaugural Golf Event in Scotland at the spectacularly scenic Spey Valley Course in Aviemore. The special day, taking place on Tuesday 14th September 2010, offers an amazing opportunity to play this superb course and enjoy first class hospitality, whilst raising valuable funds.

The day will include coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, 18 hole shotgun competition playing in teams of 4, evening presentation and 3 course dinner and of course, an ideal opportunity to network with established and new contacts. We have also been offered excellent rates on overnight accommodation from Macdonald Resort Hotels.

The event is raising funds for The Fire Fighters Charity – the official organisation which supports injured fire fighters. Every year, thousands of fire fighters are injured whilst protecting the public. Every 37 seconds in the UK, fire fighters are called to an incident, putting their lives on the line, and often sustaining physical injuries whilst carrying out their duties. The Fire Fighters Charity is here for fire fighters during their times of need, and assists over 17,000 individuals every year, by providing pioneering treatment and support services.

The Charity's Regional Fundraiser for Scotland, Jan Mattison, is delighted to be organising this inaugural event for the Charity and said “This is a fantastic opportunity to play a truly beautiful course, in relaxed surroundings, whilst helping us to help Fire Fighters.
